The third page contains the Emily Dickinson poem that begins with the line “Because I could not stop for Death.”  Students must analyze the poem, showing the form, meaning, musicality, and figurative language.  While there are a wide variety of plausible responses, students must be able to support what they right with evidence from the poem.

Sorry it took so long to get this up — lots of shenanigans this week. Be prepared for a quiz containing “Julius Caesar” in addition to vocab from this week and last week. Possibly some grammar on there as well, so anything is possible.

Words from mythology this week, so there are no roots to learn. While I haven’t asked, I am quite certain that Cassandra is not a synonym for Creative, so don’t be fooled by [begin obscure Terry Tate reference] mythology’s crazy mind games, because sometimes, it’s about intimidation you know [/Office Linebacker].
